The Great Linux Project
From now on, I will be offering my services in helping people to install, set up and learn how to use a Linux operating system, all for free, and all for as long as the person wants.
I ask nothing in return except that you promise to approach Linux with an open mind and promise to give it a try for at least a week.
Windows will still be there, so you will be able to boot into it at any time if you get stuck – although if you get stuck then I’d ask that you come to me first, so that I can try and help you.
Why am I doing this? Because I want to help spread open-source operating systems further, and I’m convinced, having used both Windows and Linux extensively, that Linux is better. And I want to help other people find that out too, with a Linux user standing by to help if things go wrong – no, scratch that, to prevent things from going wrong in the first place.
